Producer Jackie McCaffrey Joins Asian CineVision Board of Directors
NEW YORK (January 18, 2012) – Asian CineVision (ACV) announces that Jackie
McCaffrey has joined its board of directors. McCaffrey is a New York City-based
entrepreneur and creative strategist whose work has spanned marketing, fundraising,
public education, film and television, and new media. She is co-founder of Silverock
Films, a production company that seeks to discover and bring to the screen
quintessentially New York and American stories that speak to the diversity of US society.
Jackie is currently Executive Producer of a dramatic series in development at HBO.
ACV is the presenter of the Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) the
first festival in the U.S. to recognize the film and video work by media artists of Asian
descent. A leading showcase for media works by, for or about Asian Americans and
the Asian American experience, AAIFF presents annually one hundred narrative and
documentary features, shorts, panels and workshops, networking mixers. 2012 will mark
the festival’s 35th year. McCaffrey’s track record with the non-profit community, along
with her experience of bringing Asian and Asian-American projects into the spotlight of
mainstream media make her the ideal partner for ACV.
