During The National Film Society’s New York City trip, CineVue had a chance to speak with them about their partnership and their upcoming project called AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUYS. If you grew up with action flicks in the 80s or 90s, you’d remember Asian American actors like Al Leong and Yuji Okumoto having two minutes of screen-time, but eventually getting killed in a brutal battle scene. And yes, they were the bad guys. This project is to reimagine and put in the what-ifs: what if we put these bad guys together in an action-flick? What will they do? CineVue would love to see this project come to life, so donate whatever you can today to help make this project into a reality!
