4. YOUR DAY IS MY NIGHT opened to a sold-out screening at the Museum of Modern Art on Sunday, February 24th. Staged in central Chinatown, the film is a hybrid documentary that recreates the shift-bed experience. With autobiographical monologues, observational footage, and performance pieces, it tells a series of stories from different generations of Chinese immigrants, about the historical violence afflicting their homeland, the hardship of surviving in the new world, the anxiety about being undocumented, the becoming of a de facto family in the second hometown and the muffled desire to break out.
Read CineVue’s exclusive interview here with the film’s filmmakers Lynne Sachs and Sean Hanley to get a deeper insight on the project.
SUN AND THE ART OF DATING SEASON 1 FINALE
5. CineVue’s co-presentation of SUN AND THE ART OF DATING Season 1 ended this week with Episode 07 – “Just You and I”.
Does Sun finally get the girl or is love still too far out of reach? Catch it on CineVue!
