Asian CineVision, Inc. Launches New Corporate Logo and Website

New York, NY – Asian CineVision, Inc. (ACV), a nonprofit media arts organization dedicated to promoting and preserving Asian and Asian American media expressions, today unveiled a new corporate logo and website to reinforce its mission to bring greater social and cultural awareness of the Asian American experience to diverse audiences by encouraging and supporting the preservation development of Asian film and video arts.

The new logo features three shapes, each in a different shade of red, interlocked together to form a soft-edged triangle. The new tagline, "Moving Imaginations Since 1976," reflects ACV's support of Asian and Asian American media works since its inception.

"For over 25 years, ACV has provided a formal showcase of films by emerging and experienced filmmakers of Asian descent through the annual Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) – the first and longest-running festival of its kind in the United States," said Risa Morimoto, Executive Director of ACV. "The new logo and tagline represents the organization¹s commitment to growth and to provide creative programs and services to provoke, inspire, and challenge imaginations."

ACV's new website (www.asiancinevision.org) provides easy access to news and information about special screenings and events, the annual Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) and national tour, selected articles from CineVue Journal, and links to media resources. Later this year, it will also showcase short media productions by artists and a "behind the scenes" look at their work.

"We are excited and proud of our achievements," said John Woo, ACV Chairman of the Board of Directors. "Our founders envisioned an organization that would empower and strengthen Asian and Asian American media artists. Today, we are recognized as a leading organization in providing valuable resources to support Asian media works." Asian CineVision, Inc. (ACV) is a not-for-profit national media arts organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Asian and Asian American media expressions. Since 1978, ACV has annually presented the Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) to showcase cinema works by international artists of Asian descent. In addition to the festival, ACV¹s programs and services include film exhibitions, mentoring and educational outreach, training workshops, publications, and a media archive.
