Asian CineVision presents Director Rik Cordero with
First Annual Best Music Video Audience Award
at 28th Asian American International Film Festival
New York, NY (July 24,
2005) - Asian CineVision proudly announced director
Rik Cordero the winner of the first-ever Best Music
Video Audience Award of the 28th Asian American International
Film Festival (AAIFF) for his video of The Mighty
Sweet's PARK, PARK. Festival Director Diana Lee presented
the audience award to Cordero at the Final Cut Party
of the festival Saturday night at White Rabbit (145
E. Houston).
Cordero's video, which had its World Premiere at AAIFF,
is a reflection on the intrusiveness of the marketing
behind pharmaceutical companies and the parties they
crash. His video was selected from among the works
included in AAIFF's first-ever music video program,
highlighting emerging and established works by Asian
American musicians.

The 28th Asian American International Film Festival,
presented by AZN Television, took place from Friday,
July 15 through Saturday, July 23 at the Asia Society
(www.asiasoc.org) and the IFC Center (www.ifccenter.com)
in Manhattan. Selected films will also screen at the
Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington, Long Island (www.cinemaartscentre.org)
from July 29-31.
